Recommendations Overview

Turn visibility data into a weekly, prioritized action plan using Create Content, Get Mentioned, and Engage recommendations.

What Recommendations does

Recommendations at /recommendations turns your visibility data into a prioritized action plan across three workflows:

  • Create Content: fill topic and query gaps with AI-structured content briefs.

  • Get Mentioned: reach out to sites already citing competitors so they start citing you.

  • Engage: join live conversations where your space is being discussed.

How Recommendations works

Recommendations pulls from several underlying data sets and turns them into actionable items:

  • Prompts and queries provide the intent and topics that matter.

  • Daily answers and cited sources show what content and domains currently appear, including competitors. Learn how cited sources work in Sources Overview.

  • Competitive gaps highlight where others are winning attention that you are missing, based on visibility and share of voice within your overall metrics set.

Use Recommendations weekly. Outreach-oriented items (Get Mentioned, Engage) tend to have the fastest visible impact, while new content from Create Content compounds over the medium term.

Create Content

Create Content surfaces high-value topics and angles where you should publish or update content.

The system looks at tracked prompts, daily answers, cited sources, and competitive visibility, then turns that into structured content ideas.

Get Mentioned

Get Mentioned identifies sites already writing in your space that mention competitors or related entities but not you.

The system derives these items from recent Citations URL view data. For each relevant page, you see the source URL and context so you can decide how to approach the publisher.

Engage

Engage surfaces live conversations and content threads where your market is paying attention, based on recent Citations URL views and related activity.

Engage is about showing up where the discussion is already happening: comment sections, discussion posts, analysis pieces, and other interactive formats where your participation can shift sentiment or add authority.

Run Recommendations as a weekly workflow

Use Recommendations as a standing weekly ceremony to keep your GEO program moving.

Scan Create Content for new gaps

Review the Create Content tab first. Filter by your priority prompts or products and identify 3–5 content ideas that are still in pending status.

For each selected item, confirm that the AI-optimized structure (answer first, clear sections, comparisons, trust signals) fits your content standards, then assign it into your content or agent workflow.

Work Get Mentioned outreach

Next, move to Get Mentioned. Sort or filter for your highest-priority domains, then pick a realistic batch of opportunities to contact this week.

Add a short note on each item as you contact publishers so you have a simple outreach log, and mark items done or dismissed to keep the list clean.

Join key conversations in Engage

Shift to Engage to identify 3–10 conversations where your participation can add clear value.

Coordinate with social or comms as needed, decide your angle, then engage. Mark items done once you contribute or dismissed if they are not a good fit.
